Mrs. Rhonda might be found in the kitchen doing some canning and Mr Dean taking care of the goats and cows and fixing fences. At this time the mothers should be done having their babies and we will now have at least a hundred new faces on the farm. They are all bouncing around during the day and joining together to stay warm at nighttime.
Onions- this is when we start to plant the onions to be ready in the late spring. Cotton candy are the name of the sweet jewels that we place side by side in the ground. Thousands of onions are planted this month by dean and Rhonda with their warm winter gear on.
On the sunnier days you can find us in the muscadine and blackberry patch. This time of year it’s important that we give the vans a haircut so they has the potential to produce all of the sweet fruit in the summer and fall. This is a very important part of the process to ensure a good crop every year!
