PRICING
We began our operation over 20 years ago charging by the pound on the advice of the Cooperative Extension Service. When you pick or buy strawberries already picked there is no discrepancy about how full your container is or is not.
Many folks aren't certain how this pound measure converts to quarts and gallons. According to the Extension Service, it takes 5 lbs to make a gallon and 1 1/4 lbs to make a quart. We hope that helps you convert some of great-grandma's recipes over for use with your fresh picked strawberries.
ON THE FARM:
You Pick
$1.15/lb
(We use the pound measure to avoid any discrepancy about the volume in a container - a pound is a pound the world around.)
We Pick for you (Pre-picked)
$1.75/lb
Please note that we do advise you try to place an order for strawberries that are picked for you. We do not hold any strawberries over from one day to the next so we try to pick by the needs of the folks that have called. We do try to keep a certain number of pre-picked strawberries on hand for those folks that decide to drive out and grab a gallon or two. We do not place a limit on how few or how many pounds.
